Hair Coloring Tutorial by Popo-Licious Hair Coloring Tutorial by Popo-Licious

Edit: Please only leave a comment about the actual tutorial. I'm getting a lot of irrelevant critiques on the lineart, which really doesn't have anything to do with learning to color. ;0;

A coloring tutorial! Finally! I hope you guys find this helpful. If you have any questions, please ask! :aww: I also have a Pen Tool Tutorial if you'd like to go back a step and start at Lineart 101. :la:

It's really a pleasure, your tutorial is really helpful and same for the other you have written (be ready, I'll ask to translate also the other for sure!)
At the beginning I was for asking you if I could also upload the translated version in a forum linking to your version and crediting you but I suppose it isn't possibile :( but no problem for me! Just DeviantArt is enouch! :)
And, well, I know I have told you that I am going to translate it in the future, but.. I'm so exited! So... I am translating right now ^^'

If you want to share it on other websites, that's fine too! (Just don't delete my watermark on the bottom of the image.)

Really? Are you sure you are not joking? I love you!! Thank you very much :)
I won't for sure delete your watermark.
And if you want any change in the translated version (like add more time your signature) I'll listen to you doing what you prefer and then I'll publish in the other web site

- First, place the green and red lines on two different layers.
- Lock these layers.
- Go the green layer.
- You can now color the green lines with whatever color you want without interfering with the rest of the picture. I used a gradient on my layer, but you can use an airbrush, pencil, paint bucket, etc.
- Do the same for the red layer.

Did you use the gray square lock or the black lock? The black lock at the end of the menu will completely protect your layer from any changes. You want to use the first button, which should be a gray and white checkerboard looking square. If you hover over it, it'll say "lock transparent pixels" or something similar. ^__^

Thank you for your tutorial about hair coloring. >< I have lots of problems doing hair coloring ( and some of paint other parts, as well. ) I really like the way you do your paintings. I really need to say your lineart is beautiful? Because, yeah. Your lineart is wonderful. I'll try your paint method now!

I think it looks awesome! Next time maybe make your two gradient colors a little further away from each other, but otherwise, I think you did a really nice job! :aww:
